Terms of Service

These terms explain what to expect when you book Full Shield Security to install a security camera system at your property. By booking us in, you're agreeing to them.

Who we are

Full Shield Security is a sole trader business run by Jasper, based at Office 1, Fairmeads Farm, Vaggs Ln, Hordle, Lymington, SO41 0FP. Contact us on 07368 508409 or jasper.enquiry@gmail.com.

Getting a quote

We give quotes over the phone, based on what you tell us about your property and what you'd like covered. There's no visit needed before you get a price, and no obligation to go ahead. If, once we're on site, the job turns out to be significantly different from what was described, we'll always talk through any change in price with you before continuing, rather than surprise you with it afterwards.

Booking and payment

A deposit is taken to secure your installation date, with the remaining balance due on completion. We'll confirm the deposit amount and accepted payment methods when you book.

Cancelling before your install day

If you need to cancel or rearrange, just let us know. Give us at least 48 hours' notice before your booked installation date and there's no charge, your deposit will be refunded in full. If something comes up with less notice than that, get in touch and we'll talk it through.

Same-day installations

Same-day service is genuinely something we offer for most jobs. If you ask us to carry out your installation on the same day your quote is agreed, you're asking us to start work sooner than the usual 14-day cancellation period that normally applies to phone-agreed contracts under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. By requesting same-day service, you're agreeing that we can begin work immediately, and that once installation is complete, that cancellation right will have been used up, since the service will have been fully carried out. This doesn't affect our 48-hour cancellation policy for bookings made in advance, and it doesn't affect your rights if anything installed turns out to be faulty.

Access on the day

We'll need clear access to the areas being worked on, and it helps if you're home so we can confirm camera positions with you directly before anything goes up.

Warranty

Cameras come with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty, covering material and workmanship defects on the device, antenna, and power supply. This is provided by the manufacturer, not personally guaranteed by Full Shield Security, and doesn't cover misuse, improper installation by someone other than us, or accessories.

Our responsibility

We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for issues caused by misuse, third-party interference with the system after installation, or pre-existing problems with the property that weren't caused by our work.

Your camera, your responsibility

Once installed, how the system is used is entirely up to you. If a camera could capture a neighbour's property, the Information Commissioner's Office has guidance for homeowners using CCTV, and we're happy to talk through privacy zone masking as a practical way to help with this. This isn't legal compliance certification, just a genuinely useful option worth knowing about.

Privacy

Details of how we handle your personal information are in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
